We would like to introduce you to the wonderful world of Toastmasters, its speaking programs, leadership training, and the camaraderie that comes with growing and learning together.

Meeting Theme: "Life Changing Experiences"
7/16/2010
- Michael Coleman, Sergeant at Arms, opened the meeting and introduced our guests, Elise, Claudia, Christy, and Matt.
- Art Parker led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Renota Shepherd gave us the Thought of the Day, thoughts on living life to the fullest
- Our Jokemaster was Michael Coleman, who was hillariously funny and took the honor of Best Performance of the day!
- Our Toastmaster for the day was Esther Lopez, who did an great job of running the meeting.
- Our Grammarian was Rodrigo Flores, who gave us the two Words of the Day. He also kept track of how many times we used the words "um and ah."
- Table Topics Master, Niyanta Dave, gave us some great questions, with Jacquelyn Marin-Sharp taking top honor as Best Table Topics Speaker, with her thoughts on appreciating people in our lives.
- Karen Romero was our Master Evaluator, and gave her overall evaluation of the meeting, and chose her evaluation team to give feedback to today's speakers.
- William Diaz completed the 9th speech towards his ACB. His speech was about protecting yourself from heat stroke during the hot summer weather.
- Art Parker completed the 5th speech towards his ACS. His speech was an interview, and featured the assistance of Rodrigo Flores as his interviewer. Rodrigo took the honor of Best Speaker of the day.
- Michael Coleman gave a helpful evaluation of William's speech.
- Marcy Hernandez evaluated Art Parker's speech, and gave input on ways to draw in the audience.
- Jasmine Ibarra gave a great evaluation of Rodrigo Flore's performance, and took the honor of Best Evaluator of the day.
- New Valley Vocalizers Officers were sworn in for 2010-2011, by the new Toastmasters Area Governor, Matt.
- Annual awards were presented as following: Best Table Topics Speaker of the Year - Art Parker; Best Speaker of the Year - Art Parker; Best Evaluator of the Year - Marcy Hernandez; and there was a tie for Best Performance of the Year - William Diaz and Michael Coleman.
