ILCSC Collaborates with L.A. County ADRC and 6 Other Independent Living Centers

The ILCSC is pleased to announce that it will be serving more persons with disabilities in the City of Los Angeles, alongside the 6 other Non-Profit Independent Living Centers in Los Angeles County, through the L.A. County Emerging Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) Program. The services provided to persons with disabilities, including older adults and veterans by the ADRC collaborating organizations will be: Information & Referral, Diversion, and Transition.

The LA County ADRC program is intended to provide a centralized, coordinated system for people seeking reliable information and access to long-term services and supports (LTSS) across Los Angeles County. The ADRC initiative aims to implement the concept of a “No Wrong Door” (NWD) system, where individuals can tap into and access a wide array of services and supports with just one phone call, one website visit, or one email.

The ADRC program is a collaboration between Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging (AAA), City of Los Angeles AAA, Communities Actively Living Independently and Free (CALIF), Disability Community Resource Center (DCRC), Disabled Resources Center (DRC), Service Center for Independent Life (SCIL), Southern California Resource Services for Independent Living (SCRS-IL), Independent Living Center of Southern California (ILCSC), and 211 LA County (211 LA).

This collaboration is being formed to assist more people in L.A. County to reach their goal of independent living. Questions? Call: 818.988.9525
