Are you a person with a disability who is homebound due to a disability, and wants to apply for an I.D. from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), but cannot visit the local DMV Office?
The ILCSC suggests that you follow this process:
- Call the DMV at (800) 777-0133. Tell them that you have a disability, are homebound and cannot visit the DMV in person.
- Tell them that you need an accommodation from them under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- The DMV then should make an appointment with you for a home visit to complete the process.
